Stone to the Bone. My first buck with a point I knapped myself out of some Coshocton flint.

I took this guy with a 1965 Kodiak 52#. I just happened to grab this bow that day. I normally hunt from the ground but decided to start the opener in my tree stand and this bow has a quiver bushing in the riser so I could use a vintage Bear leather-capped quiver.



I could not have asked for a better shot. The elevation was perfect and the point angled in between the last few ribs and into the right lung. Shot was about 17 to 19 yards. I was shooting an ash shaft of about 800 grains.
